Pare Patcharapa (b. 1984) is a Thai artist whose work engages with landscape and figuration. Her contemplative practice explores the fragility of memory both personal and collective through painting that reflects on traces of those who are no longer there. Domestic fragments often emerge in her works as silent witnesses, revealing emotional and political undercurrents embedded in everyday life.
Emerging from the social and political climate in Thailand, her recent works often inhabit an in-between space between private memory and public history, presence and disappearance, where quiet gestures and ordinary objects carry the weight of unspoken narratives.
Pare holds a BA from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, her works have been exhibited widely across Thailand and internationally. Her photobook Touch Me was published by 89books, Palermo, Italy, in 2022. In 2024 she participated in the Fellowship Program at apexart, New York City. In 2025 she presented Elsewhere Within: Tangled Threads of Migration at Paratissima Art Week in Moncalieri, Italy. Her works are included in the permanent collection of MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum, Chiang Mai.
